Private Starlight Dinner
A private dinner set on your own deck is recommended at least once during your stay. A table for two awaits beside the plunge pool, where the bush melts into a gilded dusk, and lanterns trace the wooden deck , setting a whimsical scene, as your personal attendant presents each course with unhurried care.
Candlelit Cellar Supper
Dinner unfolds with Italian soul in Lush’s warmly-lit wine cellar, where cool stone cradles rows of coveted vintages. Here, private alcoves tuck two guests into their own world, allowing our guests to gather close enough for a shared experience, yet private enough for whispered toasts. Our extensive selection features old-world treasures and bold South African newcomers. Our sommelier, Phindi’s warm expertise will help you uncover the perfect bottle (or two). The result is an evening that feels warmly communal and exquisitely your own.
Boma Feast under African Skies
A haven of firelight set away from the main lodge, our open-air Boma is wrapped in untouched bushveld, overlooking a waterhole. As the flames crackle and the aroma of wood-smoked dishes drifts through the night, guests and guides gather to share stories beneath a canopy of glittering southern stars. With food prepared before you, stories shared by firelight, and new friendships forged under starry skies, it is an intrinsically African ritual. You will return to your suite with quiet certainty that you have dined within the very heartbeat of the bush.
Breaking the Fast
Whether you linger indoors or claim a table on the deck, breakfast feels like the gentle exhale that settles you fully into the day. Served after the morning game drive, breakfast starts with a fresh continental breakfast followed by your choice from our chef’s curated menu.
Safari Stops
Mid-safari stops, when your guide eases the cruiser to a halt at a hidden vantage, are enchanting experiences. On dawn drives, the chilly air meets the steam of freshly poured coffee softened by a splash of Amarula cream. Homemade biscuits, slivers of breakfast loaf, or a wedge of lemon cake keep the hands busy while hornbills gossip overhead. Come sunset, the ritual shifts: ice clinks in a gin cocktail, a glass of Chenin, or a cold lager beads in your grasp. Platters bloom with biltong and cheeses, crisp biscuits, dips, and dried fruit. Stories tumble out and the day’s sightings settle into memory, one sip and one bite at a time.
Ever Ready Tea Station
Our ever-ready tea and coffee station is a small, fragrant sanctuary where fresh-brewed roasts and pots of tea are available, no matter the hour. Before dawn game drives, guests gather here while guides map the morning’s adventure. Later, between sightings and siestas, the counter beckons with decadent, home baked biscuits and the chef’s cake of the day. Whether you pause for a swift pick-me-up or linger long enough to watch the bush change colour, this is where warmth and easy conversation are always on tap.
