Payment Terms
- Provisional bookings for arrival more than 30 days out are held for 14 days.
- Provisional bookings for arrival 30 days or less are held for a maximum of 7 days (or less depending on the arrival date).
- Lush Private Lodge may extend the provisional booking period at its sole discretion.
- Bookings for arrival more than 60 days out require a 20% non-refundable deposit within 7 days of written confirmation. The balance is due 60 days prior to arrival.
- Bookings for arrival 60 days or less out are subject to receipt of payment of the total invoiced amount within 5 days of written confirmation (but at least 24 hours prior to arrival for last-minute bookings).
- All payments shall be made in South African Rand and shall be made by means of an electronic funds transfer.
- Payment shall be made without deduction or set-off, with bank charges for the account of the sender.
Cancellation Terms
Lush Private Lodge reserves the right to cancel any reservation based on the non-payment of either the deposit or the balance of payment, without notice. Such cancellation may attract cancellation fees as set out hereunder.
In the event of a reservation being cancelled by or on behalf of the traveller in writing after Lush Private Lodge has issued confirmation, the following cancellation fees will apply:
- Cancellations made with more than 60 days to travel forfeit the 20% deposit
- Cancellations made with 60 days or less to travel forfeit the full payment
- No refunds are made for missed services, except in verifiable extenuating circumstances. Verifiable claims will only be considered if received in writing within thirty (30) days of the service being missed, and any refunds made will be at the discretion of Lush Private Lodge.
- Compassionate circumstances will be taken into account for cancellations due to uninsurable events.
Insurance, Liability & Advisory
Travel Insurance
It is the responsibility of each visitor to Lush Private Lodge to ensure that adequate and comprehensive travel insurance is in place from the time of confirmation of a booking at Lush Private Lodge and that details of such insurance are available during the time of travel.
Such travel insurance must cover the visitor against all risks including but not limited to costs of cancellation and curtailment, damage, delay, evacuation, medical treatment, hospitalization, illness, inconvenience, injury, loss, repatriation and theft. Lush Private Lodge cannot accept any liability for any of these events under any circumstances.
General
- All communications relating to bookings, enquiries, payments and cancellations shall be directed to the Lush Private Lodge reservations department in writing, by email to reservations@lushprivatelodge.co.za
- Dietary, Medical & Special Celebrations: All travellers shall communicate any dietary or medical restrictions as well as any special celebrations during their time at Lush Private Lodge to the reservations office via email at least 14 days prior to arrival. Lush Private Lodge will be able to cater for most health-imposed dietary restrictions but cannot guarantee that religious or voluntary dietary restrictions can be met.
- Lush Private Lodge reserves the right to amend its rates and General Terms & Conditions of Sale without prior notice. Confirmed bookings shall be honoured. The General Terms and Conditions of Sale apply to all visitors to Lush Private Lodge and to all entities making or confirming visitor bookings at Lush Private Lodge. It is the responsibility of the entity that makes or confirms the booking with Lush Private Lodge to ensure that all visitors are aware of the General Terms & Conditions of Sale.
